Our annual cornhole tournament is gearing up to be the biggest tournament we’ve had yet! Teams from all over will be traveling to the First Horizon Pavilion on Saturday, September 24th, to compete in a round-robin style tournament in order to win some killer cash prizes. We’re even bringing CornholeATL back down as our tournament directors for the event.

Whether casual or pro, your skill level can improve with just 5 tips (courtesy of the cornhole experts – thanks Jeff & Marjie from CornholeATL):

1. Aim to throw your bag higher in the air (more of an arch) so that when it lands, it doesn't slide right off the back of the board, but lands and stays on the board - or better yet, slides into the hole.

2. Having a beverage in your non-throwing hand will help with balance - and makes it more fun (P.S. we’ll have beer + cocktails + beverages to help ya out with this tip).

3. Try to have your bag be thrown with a spin to it like a frisbee. This will help make sure that when it lands on the board, it doesn't go left or right, but stays centered.

4. Figure out your stride (or no stride).

‍

‍

5. Play as much as possible! Practice may not make perfect, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
