Trident Transport has announced plans to expand and add more jobs in the Scenic City.

The freight broker and logistics provider already has one location on Chestnut Street. They plan to open a second location across the street, a transport company spokesperson explained.

“Trident’s ever-growing need for space comes from their continual success and booming company growth,” a spokesperson said.

The new location will house the company’s corporate office, a gym and a nutrition bar for employees.

The company’s sales office will be located in its current space, which, the spokesperson said, will allow them to hire additional people.

“The success and growth of this company is completely because of our people,” Carter Garrett, vice president of Trident Transport, said. “We’re known as one of the best places to work in Chattanooga, and we actively strive to keep that reputation simply by taking care of our employees. We’re excited for this continual growth and we’re prepared to keep that trend going.”

A Trident Transport spokesperson said the company plans to hire 75-100 people this year in their Chattanooga and Tampa, FL, locations.

In the future, the company plans to open multiple satellite branches across the country.
